The ISU Council held a meeting on June 12-14, 2001 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The following decisions were taken during this meeting (this Communication does not include items that have been dealt with in previous, separate Communications):

4. 2001 Goodwill Games, Brisbane
Goodwill Games will take place in Brisbane, Australia in September 2001 including a Figure Skating competition, open to eligible skaters only. The ISU has approved the technical package and this invitational competition will be run according to ISU Regulations. The ISU confirms to Members that it has sanctioned the Games and they may enter skaters.
5. ISU Skaters' Representatives
Two new Skaters' Representatives have been appointed by the Council, Christine Boudrias (CAN, Short Track) and Sylvia Nowak (POL, Ice Dance), replacing Derrick Campbell (CAN, Short Track) and Mariusz Siudek (POL, Pairs).
They join the four current Skaters' Representatives, Amber Corwin (USA, Singles Figure), Magnus Enfeldt (SWE, Speed), Anthony Liu (AUS, Singles Figure) and Yang Yang A (CHN, Short Track).
6. ISU Awards/ Honorary Referees and Judges
The area of ISU awards and honorary titles is presently under review by the Council. For the time being therefore, no further awards except those already approved and announced (e.g. Georg Häsler medal) or appointments of Honorary Referees and Judges will be made. Members will be informed in due course of the outcomes of the review.
