The ISU is making the prize money available to the organizing ISU Member for the distribution to the ISU Member of the awarded positions immediately after the event. The respective ISU Member of the awarded skaters must pay the prize money to the awarded skaters.
The ISU Member of skaters who have been awarded prize money may retain a maximum of 10 %.
Gross amounts are paid by the ISU and all costs and taxes related to the amount transferred to the ISU Members are under the control, responsibility and charges of the organizing ISU Member respectively the ISU Member of the awarded skaters as well as the skaters. Organizing Members transferring the prize money to the Member of the awarded skaters shall deduct the applicable withholding tax, if any, according to the respective law of the host country taking into account double tax treaties with the countries of the awarded Members/skaters. Only actually occurred bank charges and fees may be deducted, i.e. no arbitrary lumpsum deductions for the processing of the payment are allowed. The ISU is not responsible for any taxes, fees or other cost.
The ISU Member of the awarded skaters shall confirm in writing, on a special ISU form, that the money has been made available for the skaters concerned. The form shall be signed by the President, the General Secretary and the skaters concerned and must be returned to the ISU Secretariat at the latest two months after the Championships.
