ISU Grand Prix 1998/99

The prize pool for each individual Grand Prix event is $264,000. The winners of each individual event are awarded $30,000 with $18,000 to the second placed skater(s) and $10,000 to the third down to $3,000 for the fifth place. A total of $37,800 will be divided amongst skaters who score points in the individual events but do not qualify for the Grand Prix Final.

Skaters can compete only in two Grand Prix events with the exception of the first six placed eligible skaters/couples from the 1998 World Figure Skating Championships and the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. These skaters may compete in a third event at their own discretion. No points are awarded for this third event but skaters are eligible for prize money. After the sixth event, the six singles skaters with the most points, the top five ranking pairs and dance couples qualify for the ISU Grand Prix Final in St Petersburg, Russia on 4-7 March 1999.
