International Skating Union Figure Skating Results China International Beijing, China October 21 - 25, 1998 Seventh Event of the Junior Grand Prix Series

The seventh event in the 1998/99 ISU Junior Grand Prix took place for the first time in Beijing, China on October 21-25, 1998. The full results and standings after seven events are attached.

Zhengxin Guo (CHN) won the Men’s competition ahead of teammates Goa and Wang. Klimkin still leads the series with 30 points after two events, ahead of Restencourt (FRA), with 30 points also, and Takeushi (JPN) with 28.

Yoshie Onda (JPN) won in the Ladies’ competition in front of Jullien (FRA) and Wang (CHN). Irina Nikolaeva (RUS) still tops the overall ranking with 30 points ahead of Sarah Hughes (USA), second in this competition, and Anna Jurkiewicz (POL) both with 26 points.

Xiaodan Zhang and Hao Zhang (CHN) took the second gold medal for China, in the Pairs event in front of two Russian couples. Maxiuta/Zhovnirski and Obertas/Palamarchuk still lead the point ranking with 30 points each.

The Ice Dance competition was won by Flavia Ottaviani and Massimo Scali (ITA), also winners at the Sofia Cup. This puts them in the lead with 30 points after two events
